It's being rolled out across the country.
For my area it goes live this year and will mean that housing benefit if you get it will be replaced by Universal Credit.
From what I gather it won't mess anything up PROVIDING you do not have a change in circumstances before they migrate you over.
Do not move house! (I know mental right)

The rest doesn't apply to me so not looked at it.
I hope it's the same as ESA as in I got a letter saying blah blah moved to this. I didn't have a f2f.

Oh and WHY they are doing this I don't know.
The system I thought was to make things simple.
Why we couldnt keep ESA for new claimants I don't know, oh yes I do, its because they get LESS money.
They lose the premium that some of us haven't been paid in the first place.  :|

    Hi Pee14
Although Universal Credit will include housing benefit I would like to forewarn you that Council Tax relief is not included and you will have to apply directly to the council for this. Some people have been caught out by this and have ended up owing a lot of money to council tax without realising please be careful you don’t get caught out.

If your migrate I thought the premiums if you were eligible were safe.
Least that's what I am reading. Though I am also reading they are making expensive mistake with the other benefits just now!

If you need to make a new claim, for example you move  and have to claim HB in a UC area then there is no transitional protection and premiums will be lost this is natural migration. If you are transfered under the managed migration guesstimated  to start july 2019 then there will be transitional protection and you should be no worse off.

Which is going to catch a lot of people out in short tenancy lets.
I hope I can afford to stay here, we go live this year and they don't plan on migrating straight away.

Has that court case been heard yet? It was March.
