Lost money after changing to PIP

I am married and care for my wife who has quite a few ailments and finding it increasingly difficult to get about, and due to the government's recent change from the old disability to PIP she like many others has lost money and was looking for information regarding her current situation and is she getting all she is entitled to..

    Can you give us a little more information ?
    When did your wife receive her decision letter ?
    What was her award and for how long ?
    Have you challenged it at MR and appeal ?

    @bantyman, as you may already know the benefit your wife was claiming DLA was a benefit that focused on your wife's disability whereas PIP has a totally different criteria for accessment which is about your wife's abilities and that's the difference between them both. This is where most people moving from DLA to PIP are losing out because of the two different accessment criterias.

    Hard to advise without knowing more, but if you are not happy with the PIP decision do remember your right to ask for a mandatory reconsideration and appeal if necessary - many people get a higher rate of PIP on appeal.
