Hair washing aids

Have purchased a set of long handled brush and comb.  It struck me if I put shampoo on the long handled brush, and ran it through my hair, it would be better than slapping the shampoo on.

does anyone do anything similar, and does it work?

    @charlene, I have been using travel bottles to hold shampo and conditioner for 12mths now avoiding over use of each product, giving four pumps of each does me and if I drop a bottle no spillage or broken bottles and easy to handle no weight. Having long hair is a bit different.

    Good idea Wilko.  Not sure how I would get shampoo, conditioner into bottles, but love control of how much shampoo/conditioner is dispensed and no bottles broken.
