Hi @amandah46, I have just been diagnosed too. One thing that helps me is a microwave neck warmer the type with rice  I think?  Anyway on top of my pain meds if I am still suffering then heat can help. I also like weighted bedding. Apparently you can ask to be referred to pain management clinic. Also there are fibro threads on here.

Hello Amanda(?) @amandah46 and a warm welcome to the community. You've clearly met another nightowl already  and it is good to see you both here.
As Debbie @debbiedo49 commented, we do have conversations going on here about fibromyalgia and chronic arthritis. One place to find them is 'Dealing with chronic pain' here. Just click on the link to have a look.
When you are ready, and in your own time - there's no pressure here - can you try to tell us a little more about yourself and how may possibly be of service to you?
Very warmest best wishes to you,
    Here and listening,
    Richard

    Hi @amandah46
We also have a Chronic Pain advisor who may be able to help, I will move your post over to her category now.

I second having a microwavable neck warmer, along with heat patches. I prefer the ones which don't have pain relief in them, meaning that I can take my meds as normal when I use them.

Hi @1804 and I've just replied to your post that makes reference to bullying. I'm just going to comment quickly on this thread because we can't legitimately suggest medications to you - your GP or other medical specialists need to do that. Some of our members may be able to tell you what they feel has helped them, but there is no guarantee that works for one will work for another.
Have a look at the conversations in the Dealing with chronic pain thread, where you may find discussions that might help you, but most of all - please, and for the best reasons - tell us about yourself, your conditions and your concerns.
If there is any way we can possibly help we are here for you.
    Warmest best wishes to you
    Richard
