Told that daughter is no longer entitled to wheelchair through NHS

I am new to this site and looking for some help or advise please.
My daughter is 7 and has metal pins in her hips and strongly relys on her wheelchair! The service that supplies her chair have decided that because she uses a Kay walker in the house she is no longer intilted to a chair through the nhs. Her doctors has written many times to try and help us but they just respond with that she does not meet the criteria!! please can anyone help us.

I'm so sorry that you and your daughter are going through this. Has her doctor been able to give any other suggestions/advice?

If you're unable to get the service to provide support, do you think that you would be eligible for help from any grants?

Does your daughter see an Occupational Therapist @emma1986 - maybe they could help?

You could also consider speaking to your MP?

I have brought her one now! Cost me £400 but at least no one can ask for it back and it's her chair.

You can borrow wheel chairs through st. John's ambulance. At no cost. You get it for a month and if u need one longer. Get someone to take it back then get another. So they can maintain the other one.
Can't remember but think small deposit. Then get this back. But they say u can put a donation in when you finish if u like. It helped me with my broken foot.

That’s good that you brought one for her but ask a/your occupational therapist they should help you with any equipment that you need.

Is it a powered wheelchair? As often these require full time use to be given on NHS.
