Worried about how someone’s acting

hi everyone!
So to cut a long story short I’ve been close friends/girlfriend/part time carer to an amazing person who has severe athetoid cerebral palsy.
In the last few weeks I’ve noticed a huge change in this persons behaviour. It’s very sad to see because once we were both so happy and disability didn’t seem to get int he way of that happiness - it still doesn’t for me. However i think that having such severe cerebral palsy is getting my friend down and I’m wondering if there are any tips anyone has as to how i could help him get back on track and feel better about himself?
