PIP REPORT

Hi everyone.
Can anyone please tell me if this is correct what DWP have said  to me.
I had the dreaded review last month and I guess it will be the same full of lies and end up at a  tribunal. Anyway I rang 2 days after assessment requesting a copy of my report. I was told it would be sent out. 3 weeks later and still waiting.I have also been told I cannot have it until there is a decision. Then today I was told I can have a copy but it was sent to a case manager and I have to wait until they decide to send it because I requested it before they received it.  And they cannot tell me when it will be sent. As anyone else come across this my ESA report was sent out the minute they received it. And I am almost certain I got my first report before they decided.
Thank you P☺

My second f2f had to ring 3times to get report which arrived three weeks before award letter. I have heard they are only sending reports out after the award letter has been sent.

I received my report three weeks before decision but told wasn't allowed to put in for reconsideration till had received decision madness but I made complaint as my assessor told me I'd definitely get points and be awarded it for three to five years .then when report came through I had no points and a load of lies were put on the report

Some will tell you, you can't have it until a decision is made. Some will send it. What they forget is that they can't actually refuse to send it to you even before a decision is made. It does need to be sent to a case manage/decision maker before it's sent out though. You may even have a decision now before you receive it. Good luck.
I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying.
If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.

It is important to challege the in accuracies in the report but it is more important to your claim to show that you meet the criteria for an award

The "lies " of the assessor should be dealt with as a separate issue by way of a complaint to the Assessment provider although you should mention that you are doing so in your MR/appeal

Toffee I contact DWP regarding ATOS this morning. And she advised me to email them then I have proof of sending emails. CR is right but at the same time we cannot allow Assessers to get away with fabrications on reports. I have waited until now to start the complaint about atos.
    The email address is

    Good luck

If the DM gets the so called independent report and then instructs the assessor to alter it (which appears to be happening in many cases) who is to blame?

It would be interesting to see the before and after versions.  Don't worry though according to the link below all is well  B)

    https://www.gov.uk/government/organisations/department-of-health-and-social-care

"The Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) helps people to live more independent, healthier lives for longer. We lead, shape and fund health and social care in England, making sure people have the support, care and treatment they need, with the compassion, respect and dignity they deserve."

DHSC is a ministerial department, supported by 28 agencies and public bodies.

Hmm I am having my assessment done on Thursday as a home visit. Nervous about all of it as I have heard they fabricate and tell al sorts of lies.

Hi @symphony, no they don't always tell blatant lies some of them are just a bit economical with the truth :)

If you can get someone to be there with you do so but try not to be nervous, not much point in worrying about something that has not happened.
I think most assessors in general are honest its just that people only tend to post about the negative side of things.  Have your ID and meds at hand and don't be forced into answering questions your not sure about, during the physical examination if your not comfortable with doing any of the movements (onset of pain later) just say.

This is the hardest thing to counteract, the assessors opinion

You can only counteract with fact, don't get caught up in trying to discredit an opinion
for example your opinion may be that the assessor is a l***** a******* that is your opinion but you cannot prove it

Its fraud at the end of day. On an offical government form!!
A nurse just a nurse who did my assessment. Not a spine specialist/consultant. Not a rheumatologist just a NURSE. Dont get me wrong they do a great job but if a nurse lied on a patients hospital record they would lose their job. The nurse had no right to make an ill informed judgement. Not take into account the letters from all 6 of the medical professionals that see me. What I said what my carer said. In my opinion if they write lies on report they should lose there job

    Hi all
Well I’ve now had my assessment done. Let’s hope there were no fabrications or lies. Now awaiting results.

I am finding that the assessor seems to place more importance of their own opinion and what they perceive to understand from observing you than making factual comments.
I have learned that their report is nothing more than an opinion and NOT a statement of fact. Everyone has an opinion about most things, the only difference is that they tell the DWP what their opinion is.
Using facts to disprove their opinion is the way I have gone in the past both with complaints about the assessor with a copy going to the DWP.
