Hi guys I recently attended a p.i.p assessment which I attended with my uncle.i answered all the questions stating I could not prepare a meal at all I have problems with my toilet needs and I can not manage my budget. Also I was asked to spell words backwards which I could not do. I can not plan a journey and suffer from p.t.s.d. After this assessment I thought I would be OK because my condition has not improved. I then got a letter stating I scored zero points.i requested a copy of my report she ticked that I can cook unaided I have no toilet problems I can budget and I traveled to the assessment alone?????????,????

    Hi @peterpete
Im sorry to hear this, you can request a Mandatory Reconsideration of the decision within 30 days.

We have lots of information and videos of how to do this on the PIP page here - I hope this helps!
Let us know if you have any questions :)

You're not alone! This happens to so many people (I'm waiting for a Tribunal because of a terrible assessment, too). You can fight this!

I claimed for 2 years first assessment scored 10 points along with all evidence second time around only 2 points so i reckon tribunal coming up unlikely to be successful with just a reconsideration letter.I have borderline personality disorder and possibly Autism so my issues are not going to disappear or be cured. It seems they don't understand mental illness and they may not be as qualified as we would like to think.

Do you think they meant do you go to the ATM yourself?  I wasn't asked this question.
