More hours and work - can I put it in a pension?

Hi. I have been asked to do more hours at work but it will take me over the limit for carers allowance - but not enough to be better off. Something I had been thinking about before this came about was a pension, so, it seems sensible to take the hours and use the money for a pension.
Over the next few years this is a job where the hours will grow and I could end up full time and in a good position and I will (at the right time) then not claim carers, but at the moment, that doesn't make sense for us.
I wondered how much you can earn to put into a pension, without losing carers allowance? How is it worked out?

I did the same thing but because of my ESA. I asked HR to work it out for me.. I only went over by £3.80 but now I can put something aside for a pension. I would recommend that you ask HR

On the gov website it says:You must earn no more than £120 a week after tax and expenses. Expenses can include some of your pension contributions - and some of the costs of caring for your children or the disabled person while you’re at work.Scope

I understand that it has increase to £125 this year, which was ironic for me..
