I had a assessment at the local pain clinic I live in Oldham in February & waiting for 8 follow up apointments, I was told it could take a while but for this long, I feel NHS is not nearly as good as it used to be, we have to wait months just to get answers we need to try to survive, any one else had any problems?

Yes my feet are turming black. I have ulcers and a list of other stuff.this has been going on for 13 months only now has the hospital started on my conditions.
They could get alot worse before the hospital get their act sorted -
sorry to ear that Misscleo now a days you have to fight to get doctors & hospitals to do something about our conditions

Thank you.
They should stop xraying parts of people and deal with the WHOLE person.
Even now theh are going to MRI just lower back. Thats stupid the xrays said the problem with neck has got worse too.
The MFI should be the whole person -
The reason why they are giving you a MRI scan is to find out how bad your spine is it is important for them to be able to treat you with the right treatment

Hi @disabledkenny1 did you have any luck at all?

I agree the waiting is just.... Awful.
Is your gp at all supportive? Mine sometimes help give the system an ass kicking.
And I also agree VERY much that I wish they'd look at the whole body more often -
still no luck still waiting they are useless

My GP has been very supportive regarding my condition. At last pain management appointment was told my specialists was leaving just been told to make appointment at my GP by the pain management just wondering if anyone else had this and what it led too.pigeon55

I had a long chat on the phone with a nice GP yesterday & she increased a couple of meds & told me to chase up the pain clinic myself, which I will do on Monday & request to see the medication GP again as they can offer better meds then a GP can offer, I explained about my muscle waistage & that I had 3 seizures last week through my heart condition so she arranging an ambulance next week for me to go for a x-ray on my chest also having district nurse to do full bood tests including my over active thoyriod as on meds but no apitaite & losing weight, etc also having a asthma review at the same time, at last a GP that has listened to me, like I said it would cost me £50 to employ 2 carers to bring me to the practice by taxi so agreed in futue home visits only!!!
