I applied for pip in February had my f2f on Friday the 13th of all days in April they received the report on the 26th decision was made and sent on the 4th may 2018 and the whole thing was lies they claim there' no evidence to support my claim based on my mental health it' so severe I can' do most basic things and have to be constantly prompted and urged etc i cant even leave the house alone or plan or follow a journey due to the distress they tell you not to pay fees to get the medical evidence to support your claim as they'l get all they need but if you don' the chances are you'l be rejected as they won't get the evidence I've put in for a mandatory reconsideration and told them ill be sending more evidence from my doctor and my therapist which the assessor lied and said I have no mental health support or in put when I'm under the local mental health team as the assessor claims my medication was a low dose when it was the highest dose in the tablet so what would I do has anyone else had this problem of them constantly lying through their teeth even though you'e got evidence

Hi @aaronw3440
Welcome to our online community/family.
It’s great to meet you today.
I’m very very sorry to hear about your current problems.
You are by no means on your “own” with your “Assessor Lying”
We have got many members in the same boat (Ship)
We have got lots of info/advice/help/support here within our site.
Please please let me know if I can point you in the right direction ????

Hello @aaronw3440 and a warm welcome to the community.
As steve51 says, you are far from on your own, but knowing that doesn't pay any bills.
I'm forwarding your post to some of our benefits specialists and hopefully they will get back to you soon.
Warmest best wishes,
Richard

aaronw3440,
You've done exactly the right thing by asking for a mandatory reconsideration. Unfortunately we know that most people have to go on to the appeal stage, but don't be put off - the chance of winning at appeal is much higher.
It's a good idea to be really clear about what points you think you should have got. If you haven't already done so, you can use the PIP self-test to help with this. Sending more evidence in will help, and you can also be clear about some of the obvious wrong statements in the assessor's report, like the medication - what they say simply isn't true, and you are very well aware of the dose you are on, and can prove it (eg via your prescriptions).
Secondly I think you should complaint to the assessment company, as the lies are blatant - general lie that there is no evidence to support your claim. There is. And a specific lie/mistake (who knows) about medication.
You can find out how to complain about ATOS here, or if it was Capita, here.
You could also complain to the Information Commissioner about wrong information being held on you.
Finally I strongly recommend that you contact your MP about your experience. We have to get the assessment process changed - it is simply not good enough and is causing distress and upset to far too many disabled people. So we need to keep telling MPs just how bad it is.
I know there's a lot to do but you don't have to do all of the above - the important thing is challenging the decision, which you have already started.
Best of luck!
