Hello, would anyone know,   can you lose your PIP if you receive any amount of inheritance?

    shereen2015, hello and a big welcome to the community. As I understand it you will not lose your PIP award money but you will have to or should inform DWP that your financial situation has Changed for the better. If you are claiming other benefits ESA, housing and council tax this could and many be reduced or stopped. If you don't inform them or spend the amount you could be deemed to putting yourself out of money to claim benefits. If the inheritance is way under the benefits threshold I think it's £16000. You may be ok have a talk with a benefits adviser or call in to your local  citizens advice bureau.

    Simple answer - No, you will not lose your PIP.
    It is not a means tested benefit so you are entitled to have any amount of savings/assets and it not affect your PIP.

    It's predecessor, DLA was exactly the same with no capital rules. In fact both David Cameron and Gordon Brown claimed DLA in respect of a child of theirs.
