Hi all,
As some of you know Iv been waiting on a CPN appointment.
I had “ an assessment” this week with 2 mental health professionals to see what type of referral I need.
They were thinking a psychiatrist. Had a call yesterday to say they’d had a meeting and now a “ doctor” will be reviewing my mental health history, brain scan etc to see what they thinks the best way forward.
Im confused as I thought that was the reason for the assessment?
I also have an appointment for a psychology assessment next month.
Id appreciate if any of you kind people might have any thoughts as to what this is/means.
Thanks

@Victoriad, thank you.
as for the other thread, raise above it. Without taking sides on that issue, my take is, tell the DWP ANY change, that way your mental wellbeing will be intact. Not wondering if all the time.
I did and feel better in myself for it -

They might be deciding what type of psychiatrist would suit your situation.
Some specialize in different areas. My understanding is they work with the psychologist to decide on the best medication because the psychologist can't prescribe it.Do not follow me, I don't know where I am going.
