The mobility component of PIP after the age of 65

When i first claimed PIP at the age of 63 i received enhanced mobility and scored 12 on the moving around descriptor 
When i reached 65 i was reviewed and had my mobility reduced to standard given no reason what the change of circumstances were hence i appealed and after 2 tribunals and 18 months i have now had it reinstated
I now know that if you are on standard mobility after 65 you stay on that as you cannot get enhanced and the points for planning a journey only count towards your standard mobility
So the DWP will do anything in their powers to get anybody over 65 on standard mobility
So my message to anybody who is over 65 and had their mobility award reduced fight to the end for it because once you have lost it you will never get it back.

    @markboy, thank you for bring this to our attention, the DWP will try do anything to cut costs save money and I wouldn't be surprised if they ask the acessment companies to try and down  grade claiments for the very reason you state in your post. Keep posting.
