Hi, I was awarded the enhanced daily living allowance in 2016 but turned down for the mobility component . I have just recently had my face to face review assessment and was wondering if due to the changes regarding mental illness and pip could i be awarded the mobility this time around ? any advice would be a great help TIA

Hi @bigal1966 and a warm welcome to the community! Thank you for coming to the community with this question. It is possible to do the PIP Self- Test online. This is going on the criteria that you will have been assessed on. However, please do take this as an estimate as you might choose options that your assessor wouldn't. It will give you an idea though. Please do let me know if there is anything else the community can do

Hi thank you very much for your advice and welcome . It does say on the test that i could be eligible for the mobility . Do you know if it would be backdated to my original claim of 2016. Thanks

@bigal1966 you're very welcome. I am not a benefits specialist so I may be wrong, but I assume that because it is a review (and potentially a change in circumstances) that this payment would not be backdated.
