How Long will It Take To Hear Back From DWP ?
Thats Been Six Weeks Now and Not A Peep From Them .
I Know they Got My Letter , Sent It Recorded and They Confirmed It Was With Them
but not In The system Yet , I Know They wont overturn It , I Want To Get things Moving
With The Appeal , What Is The Norm To Wait ?

If your ok about appeal and anxious about hearing I’d call and simply ask the question.
waiting is the hard part1 -
There's no timescales to decisions, it depends on backlog in your area. Ring and ask them.Tribunal waiting times are huge all over the country and some are waiting up to 1 year. I'd say expect anything from 7 - 12 months.1

I'm waiting for reconsideration of mobility, I have until August 14th, or I lose my mobility car, then I'll be housebound. ?0

Only 20% of MRs are successful so there's a high chance you'll have to take it to Tribunal. Good luck.

@kevin52 If I recall you were given no points at your ESA assessment? As you have asked for a mandatory reconsideration they should have got back to you by now as the longer it takes for them to give you a notice the longer it will take for you to launch an appeal to a tribunal. I would ring them up just in case they have sent out a reconsideration notice to you already and it hasn't arrived or your request has been ''lost'' in the system.1

Hi kevin52
Very glad to hear your good news. I would go to the interview next week just to get the person there (the work coach?) to input a note or make a phone call, whatever, to hurry up your arrears. If you are in the Limited Capability for Work Related Activity group, you should have arrears to come.

kevin52, hi
Is there anywhere local that you could take this to, for some information / advice about the rate at which various kinds of overpayment can be recovered from benefits?
If not, you could phone the helpline at Scope and ask for a call back form a benefits specialist Not as good as face to face advice, but it may help you.
