Hi @footee and a very warm welcome to the community! Thank you for sharing this with us all. I hope you find the community to be a supportive environment to give and receive advice. Do you have any support to help look after your husband? I can certainly imagine you feel angry, it is a very difficult situation and I hope we can be here to support you. You may find the parents and carers and neurological conditions boards the most helpful. Please do have a look around and get involved in any aspects that you would like to.
If you need anything else then please do not hesitate to get in touch!
    Have a lovely day :)

Hi @footee welcome. I am new here too, had some smashing advice since posting!
Totally understand your frustrations. I care for my blind husband, (he is 55). No help given to the blind. Nothing. We had to beg a used white stick, and, fight for his benefits. I am comforted knowing its ‘normal’ to feel alone. And comforted knowing, there are good people out there (on here) helping, and hearing!
    Welcome!

Hi @Droopy1 and thank you for sharing this with us! I am so glad that you have found the community a supportive place! Have you tried services from RNIB to support your husband and yourself? They specialise in support for blind and partially sighted people. They also have a helpline which is free to call and can support you with anything, whether that is benefits, support, being a carer, mobilising as a blind person....
Please let me know if you would like anymore information :) I am partially sighted myself so have benefited from the work they have done :)

@Chloe_Scope thank you. We initially did contact RNIB. They offered a dog, which we couldnt cope with. Lack of funding they said, meant hubby could not offer anything else. They sent information booklets! We have a friend who trains dogs for the blind, elsewhere in the UK to us, he got hubby equipment and looked at what benefits other blind people could claim. He was great.
We have been on our own since he lost 95% of his sight overnight. I have had to learn how to help and support him as we have gone along.
We found that Samsung VR glasses have been marvelous so he can watch tv, using his mobile phone as a camera!
    Thank you...❤️

You're more than welcome! Certainly sounds like you are figuring it all out VR glasses is a genius idea!!! If you do need anymore advice, or just to be around people who know what it is like; we do have the parents and carers and visual and hearing impairments boards.
Please do let me know if there is anything else that I can do :)
