Hello @shaz73 Pleased to meet you welcome.
Thank you for sharing. I am unsure of an answer to your benefit query.
I know a member of our team or a member of our community will advise. Benefits are so confusing and complex.
Have you considered speaking to CAB. Have the expertise and knowledge .Lots of information and advice.
Might be worth looking at our own benefit information and advice as well.
We are a friendly supportive community. Care and share.
Ask the community anything. Some one will know. Ready to listen.
Please take care

Hello Shaz73 and welcome to the community.
How your son's condition effects him in general will be of more importance than what is wrong with him.
You can take the pip test here: http://www.mybenefitsandwork.co.uk/pip/indexxx.php to see if he is likely to qualify.
Or you can find out more at https://benefitsandwork.co.uk/personal-independence-payment-pip/pip-points-system
If you have any particular questions about the criteria I am sure you will find help and support here.As an individual I stood alone.
As a member of a group I did things.
As part of a community I helped to create change! -
Hi @shaz73 and a warm welcome to the community! I would advise using the scope online benefit calculator to see if it would be worth the claim. Also there is the PIP online self- help test which would be useful to do. PIP is based on the affect of the disability rather than any diagnosis.
