Attendance allowance

I'm getting a little ahead of myself, I still have two years to Pension age.
I'm currently on PIP. As I understand it, people who are pensioners cannot claim PIP and have to claim Attendance allowance.
Is this so. Will my PIP be stopped automatically and will I have to - at that stage apply for Attendance allowance.
I find it all very worrying. I'm likely to be reassessed for PiP for the last 3 months of my "under pension age" time, and may (if this is so) have to be reassessed for AA after I reach pension age. An utter nightmare.

    Hi,
You will continue to claim PIP for as long as you qualify because you already had the award. You will also continue to be re-assessed for PIP regardless of your age.
I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying.
If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.

    A absolutely Poppy.
Many over 65's are being continuously assessed for PIP well after 65.
I'm getting on for 71 next April and if I was still claiming it I would be looking at my fourth face to face assessment next year!

Thank you folks. One less assessment to worry about. Two years out and I'm anxious already.
