    Hi @pound1234,

Welcome to Scope's online community! It's great to have you on board.

You say that you did not ask for a home visit. Have you considered contacting your assessment provider to ask why you are having a home visit?

Your assessor will either be Atos which you can email using
PIP-customerservice@atos.net or Capita, which you can contact via their website.

Our benefits advisors also said this on another community discussion which might be of interest to you:
"Usually home visits are only if the claimant requests it. I wonder if there was something on the claim forms which makes the assessment firm think that perhaps there are access issues with the centre they would otherwise use? Or it may be that they are doing this in order to get through their backlog, as delays have been an issue with PIP in the past."
I hope this helps. If you have any other questions then please do let us know!
    Liam

Hi pound  I really think that you could make a complaint about the person who asked to see the sores because he was the opposite sex because if it had been a female who done the home visit you would not have had any problem my advice is see what others think about what you said and maybe try and get some advice from the citizens advice bureau to see what helpful advice they give you good luck in your claim.

Is this an ATOS assessment? If so they must have determined that for whatever reason you are not able to get to one of their assessment centres
If it is a CAPITA assessment, they took the contract on offering more home visits than ones at an assessment centre.

This thread is more than 4 years old and the member hasn't been active for just over 4 years. The thread refers to a home visit but they no longer do home visits and haven't for almost 3 years.
I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying.
If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.
