I’m a wheelchair user who has Spina Bifida and am a disabled persons campaigner. I advocatee the Social Model of Disability that says a person hasn’t got a disability but an impairment. It’s only Society that disables people by putting barriers in the way to stop disabled people trying to live a normal life by eg. erecting steps instead or ramps for wheelchair users and anything else that they may erect to stop anybody with an invisible illness that may hinder them from leading a fuller life as an everyday person does.
