no one gives a dam  I asked for Norwich got sent to Colchester 75 miles away but I asked for paper one still told to go they said obn phone no it’s Norwich then got letter from Colchester saying it adjourned due to them asking for telephone appeal,when I asked no one new about them  I am hard or hearing miss words on phone today rung them they said no it’s norwich letter wrong I so confused and sucidle because of it  bet no one will answer me

    Hi,
    Appearing in person gives you the best chance of a decision in your favour. The reason they've asked for a telephone hearing is most likely because they want to hear it from you exactly how your conditions affect you. As you're hard of hearing this probably isn't the best option for you but i have no answers. Unfortunately i have no answers for you. Hopefully someone with more knowledge about Tribunals will see this and help you further. Good luck.

    Oh dear isn't it dreadful,  for some of us its stressful  enough we are having to travel at all let alone 75 miles away! We have an assessment centre a 15 minute drive from us yet hubby was asked to attend another town, Luckily he had our son to drive him there but not everyone has relatives on hand to help so have to plan their journey using public transport. If there is def a centre in Norwich then id make it clear that's where you wish to be seen, is there anyway you can email them at all, at least this way you can save their answer though i doubt it, expect its phone calls only in this case. Have you no one who can make the calls for you on your behalf?  let us know how it all turns out for you,hoping you can get this resolved and soon.

    Good morning, If you are in Norfolk and are having a tribunal in Norwich, (Queens Road) I suggest you contact Norwich Community Law Centre - (St Clements House, 2-16 Colegate, Norwich NR3 1BQ - Telephone: 01603 496623 Email:
    info@ncls.co.uk. They will help you with advice, and also put you in touch with a Sign Language expert who could be able to attend with you. They are an exceptional organisation, they have a specialist in DWP/PIP/ESA law. I don't know where you live in Norfolk, but if you have trouble travelling by public transport, or there is no Public Transport available in your area (This is Norfolk after all) Approach HMCTS - Email address should be on their letter, and ask for taxi fare. (If you have 14 days before your appeal hearing, they will pay you in advance.) If you need any further information regarding Norwich Tribunal service, just let em know. Good luck and best wishes.

    I had email from law place in Norfolk unable to help due to pressure also I ask for help in July got reply in sep 
    ask for text no  can’t do that
    only got 24 hours last time to get to appeal
    so short 
    see I done everything

    This reminds me of a film I saw years ago involving a couple who were both partially deaf trying to have an argument over the telephone.

    Presumably the Tribunal Service think that the use of sign language is possible??
