Hi, looking for advice, I received my decision from PIP, I was awarded daily living standard rate, but I was on DLA mobility high rate, PIP only scored me 4 points, I have osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, thinning of bones, hip replacement three yrs ago other hip to be replaced next year. I also suffer pain in right leg & calf due to restricted blood flow from general artery. I rang DWP to disagree with there decision. I have to send letter stating why I disagree with decision. I have contacted Citizens advice bureau about this, they told me to send letter to DWP. Citizens advice bureau said if refused they will help me plan appeal. Anyone else been through this process. Thx

    Hi,

Yes, lots of people go through the same thing. They will look at the whole award again and not just the mobility part. Only 17% of MR decisions change. CAB are right, you need put the request in writing stating what you disagree with and where you think you should have scored those points. Remember, PIP isn't about a diagnosis, its how those conditions affect you daily. Good luck.
I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying.
If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.
