I am wondering how to talk about cp to my teenage twin sons who both have mild cp. It is something they know they have. They are affected differently. I am thinking about them soon becoming young independent men...can anyone share their experiences please?

Hi @Jeffers Welcome to the community!
Have a look at the discussions in Cerebal Palsy to read about others' experiences. Also meet @Chloe_Scope and @Richard_Scope who have Cerebal Palsy and I'm sure they will be more than happy to share their experiencesDisability Gamechanger - 2019 -
Hi @Jeffers,
Welcome to Scope's online community! It's great to have you on board.
As @Ami2301 mentions, our Cerebral Palsy category might be of interest to you. We also have lots of information about CP on our website, along with some advice about Cerebral Palsy for young people, which you may find useful.
I've also moved this into our dedicated CP category, so other members of our community can share their experiences.
I hope this helps. Do get in touch if you have any questions at all!Liam -
Just tell them the truth about it. Tell them that you are there for them and you love them. That's all they need. I have cerebral palsy my parents never talked to me about it and they didn't bring any attention to it. I grow up thinking I was a normal child and could do anything, which was good and positive, however at school I would get a different message from people. I never talked to my parents around it. So when I got older they believed I used my disability as an excuse for me not to do things.
