Went to ER today

My left arm, which I can't really use, went into spasm. I was bent over double with the pain, and the arm kept jerking back and forth.]
The Emergency Department said I had torn a muscle in that arm. I have it in a sling and it is quite painful. They gave me a muscle relaxant which I will not take because it will make me dizzy and drowsy - I live alone and must be alert.
It seems that once one has a disability, other problems crop up around the injured part. The arm is really deteriorating now.
So there it is. I will learn to cope with this, too. It does get discouraging to develop yet another symptom.

I guess I have gotten used to having severe pain and having to go to ER. Going there is an endurance test: usually, it takes 6 or so hours before you can be discharged. They get real emergencies and cannot get around to people like me.
Have to fight, @Ami2301. I am (sometimes foolishly) stubborn.
Hope you are doing well today.
