Tribunal

Hi just wondered if anyone knew how long it takes to sort out benefit payment once a tribunal application has been received? I requested reinstatement of ESA from when it was stopped in March and gave them the tribunal ref and copies of sick-notes which they said that they had lost. That was five weeks ago and I still haven't heard anything from them re: payment etc. I was told by an adviser that DWP had to reinstate the claim until such time that the Tribunal was heard. Has anyone any experience of this and if so, can you give me a hint???

    Hi,

It shouldn't take that long, you need to ring ESA and ask them what's happening and when to expect payment. They'll be able to tell you what's happening.
I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying.
If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.

Thanks. I don't find them veery helpful on the phone as I had already uploaded sicknotes to them 2 weeks before after they told me on the phone what to do. 2 weeks later, sent it all in writing too. I will ring them again today to see what's going on!!!

I agree, sometimes they're not helpful. Just tell them then you asked to be put back onto assessment rate of ESA and you sent everything you need to.
