Hi @winky1234 welcome to the community!

It can take between six to eight weeks for a decision on your PIP claim to be made following an assessment. If you ever want to find out more about the status of your claim, then you can contact the PIP helpline on 0800 121 4433.

I was in receipt of PIP enhanced rates on both components until early this year, only stopped because I have been in hospital longer than 28 days but it will resume when I am home.

I think the waiting time varies due to their backlog, I do hope you receive the awards you need!

PIP is always affected if you go into hospital for more than 28 days, whether you live in UK or N.Ireland, unless you're under the age of 18 and then it continues.
I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying.
If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.

2 weeks the first time and 5 days with my review. My daughters took 6 weeks, almost. All areas are different but i'm in the UK, i have no idea what waiting times are like in N. Ireland.

As it's only been 2 weeks since your assessment then it can take 8 weeks or more for a decision and that's here in the UK, i have no idea what the timescales are like in Northern Ireland. I know it's frustrating waiting but there's nothing you can do until the decision is made. Hopefully not too long now.

You're not the only person that's waiting for a decision, there's backlogs to think about too. There's most likey 1000's of other people just like you.
