Hello @chriscross05 Pleased to meet you welcome.
Please can I suggest contact your CAB. They offer benefit advice and guidance.
They have a wealth of knowledge and expertise. Add to that sitting in front of people who can explain things simply to you is what you need.
Often do contact them.
I am like yourself find reading a loads off the web too complicated and confusion.
Even though I try to cope.
Hope that helps.
Pleasure to meet you.
Take care

Hi @chriscross05
I can only suggest the benefits calculator or speaking to the CAB who can help you fill in the benefits calculator.
Good luck!Scope

How much will I lose?Hi,You will lose the severe disability premium of £64.30 per week, if he doesn't claim a qualifying benefit like PIP daily living or DLA mid/high rate care. You will also lose the single person discount on your council tax reduction. Housing benefit won't be affected because you claim PIP and excluded from the non dependent deductions.I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying. If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.
