Hello, I am wondering what form I need to ask about these underpayments? I live alone with a severe mental heath condition, but I still try my best, and this year earnt myself a 2.1 Bsc Hons. Degree. I recently was sent a pink assessment form, I'm not sure if it was for esa or pip. But I filled it out and sent it back. Does anyone know what the pink form being sent out is? So, I can make ends meet but I rarely have enough for clothes, which is a big deal when trying to present better and get back into a professional capacity. I thought a remuneration could really help me, and with travel costs to a training course I would like to give a go at. I would like to be a child play therapist/counsellor. Yes I have a real and severe conditon, but I still try to aim for success! And occasionally get there! And I'm a nice person who also is talented, sensitive and caring. Can anyone advise me where to start on discovering or applying for the under payments that are now being looked at?. I think two years ago they dropped my payments from a support to a work related group, but not for any reason it seemed to me, because I was studying for my degree full time, at the time. I also used to be on incapacity, but also remember a time when I left hospital and was getting esa, but not ela, or something, because I refused to apply for both as I felt one was enough. But I also thought there was nothing wrong with me at the time, because it was early on in my diagnosis. Thanks for your time, S.

The underpayments are for those that transferred from Incapacity benefit to ESA. They were automatically placed onto Contributions based ESA and weren't assessed for the income related top up.Qualifying for the top up with depend on circumstances, household income, savings/capital.The form you received could have been the ESA3 form to asses you for the income related top up. It should tell you on the front of the form what it is, if it's not that then it will be the ESA50 form for a re-assessment into your benefit claim, as the ESA50 form is pink in colour but i have no idea what colour the ESA3 form is sorry. If you're one of those that have been underpaid then DWP will contact you and if you're owed any money then you'll be paid any money you're owed. I have no idea how long this will take but i do know there's 1000's of people that were underpaid and it could take several weeks or more for a decision.0

Thank you, poppy.
I seem to remember it being an ESA50 form, but I don't know why it is being reassessed. Is this just a standard thing?
I was transferred from incapacity to the ESA support group. But I also got a premium for severe disability. Is this the contributions group? Two years ago at an assessment they moved me from the support related group to the work related group. But I don't why or what that meant.
May I ask, does this information give you any insight into what may be occurring in my case, please?
Thank you,0 -
It's extremely confusing here because you have 2 posts with similar questions. Please try to keep to the same thread because it's extremely difficult to follow and help properly when there's multiple posts. As i stated on the other thread they can re-asses you at anytime for ESA and the form must be filled in and returned, with all your evidence by the date stated on the letter. Failure to return it by that date could affect your benefits. As you were/are claiming the SDP then this is income related or contributions based with the income related top up. As you're claiming this it most likely means that you're not one of the ones that have been underpaid. Being removed from the support group to work related group isn't what the underpayments are about. You were moved because at the time they decided you didn't qualify for the Support Group. Good luck with the reassessment.0
