Hi @Jan1234, and a warm welcome to the community!

Thanks for sharing this with us, and so sorry to hear about your daughter's PIP outcome. That must have been really frustrating for you both. Are you going to be appealing the decision?

Okay so the first thing to do is to either call or write to PIP and ask for a mandatory reconsideration. you must do this within 1 month of the decision, so do this asap. There is brilliant advice on here and lots of people who have been through the same so someone will tell you about the rest-  i hope your daughter is ok x

    Hi,

You need to request the MR in writing stating what you disagree with and where you think she should have scored those points and your reasons why. PIP isn't awarded based on a diagnosis, it's how your conditions affect your ability to carry out daily activity against the PIP descriptors.

Did you send evidence to support her claim? I would advice you to get some help with the MR and Tribunal if needed and contact welfare rights or a law centre near you, if this is possible.
I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying.
If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.

They very rarely contact anyone for evidence. The onus is on the claimant to prove the descriptors apply to them and not their responsibility to prove you qualify.

When writing the MR letter try not to focus on the descriptors and the ones you think apply, rather than the lies that may have been told in the report. When pointing out the descriptors that apply give 2-3 examples of what happened the last time she tried to do that activity. This is what they'll be looking for. This link may help you understand the descriptors more.
