Hello . I'm on sick pay from work but dont feel comfortable going back at all after a anxiety and depression relapse. I considering giving notice to my employer and apply for ESA. Advice please

Also consider speaking to CAB they have a wealth of benefit knowledge. Good with form filling in.

Hi,SSP is payable for 28 weeks and you won't be able to claim ESA until this has finished because you can't claim both. You should be given your SSP1 form on the 23 week of claiming SSP, once you have this you can then put a claim in for ESA but you won't be paid it until SSP has finished.You should speak to your employer before giving your notice in, or speak to ACAS.
