How is this obtained? I believe I should be entitled to it but I have never been given it (I get enhanced disability)?
Do you have to be on PIP/AFIP/DLA/AA? If so, if I get PIP (currently applying), how would I go about getting SDP added on? Will it be done automatically?

For SDP you need to be claiming an Income related benefit such as ESA, Income Support or JSA. Then you need a daily living award of PIP. No one must be claiming carers allowance for looking after you. Finally you must live alone or be classed as living alone. If you live with any other adults then they must also claim a qualifying benefit ...Daily living PIP, AA or DLA mid/high rate care. It's not automatically paid, you have to apply for it, if your PIP is successful.

Unfortunately not, unless of course she claims a qualifying benefit herself. For carers allowance claim, does your mum work? Claim any benefits like a state pension? https://www.ageuk.org.uk/information-advice/money-legal/benefits-entitlements/carers-allowance/
