Oh I'm so sorry to hear this @Eadiesmummy1, that sounds really debilitating.
Hopefully our members will be in touch soon and able to share some tips, but do know that you're not alone and you're among others who understand, here on the community. I really hope things become more comfortable soon. -
thank you so much @Pippa_Scope x

I've had neuralgia following Shingles from an autoimmune problem. My GP gave me Gabapentin which took the edge off. It's not always effective though.Better to see a GP than listen to advice from a forum though, no matter how well intentioned.Good luck.

I ended up going to the GP. i take pregabalin 450mg daily, so shes just upped my dose. The advice i wanted was managing the pain at home, like hot water bottles. anything i can try really. Thanks for your advice @Markmywords xxx

If you've tried hot then try cold, not right against the skin, of course. Then try alternating.If ice works in a wet flannel there are proper things you can buy;

Are you able to get in a bath ? If you have a bath, try having a long soak in the bath before going to bed, make sure your bed is also lovely and warm and you should be able to relax and get some rest. Maybe it can help you xx wish you all the best
