Does anyone know what a "task" is to a case manager

Iv been turned down for higher rate mobility and done a MR but was not successful.i called DWP yesterday after a mo

    Hi could anyone shed some light on this for me please.i am on lower rate mobility so I did a MR but was not successful so it is now going to tribunal.i called DWP for an update on my claim after 4 weeks waiting for them to send out evidence but was told it was with a case manager to do a "task" I ask her what this was but she was not sure herself so she tried to put me few to case manager but was busy does any one know what this means please thank you

    It just means that it's in a queue waiting to be dealt with by someone.

    It's in the hands of the Tribunal now not DWP. You'll be sent the "bundle" from the Tribunal which will contain everything you sent to DWP. Eventually you'll have a date for the hearing but this could take a year, as most places have huge backlogs. There's nothing you can do but wait. Once you're sent all the details you'll be able to ring to ask what the current waiting times are for your area. It's not a quick process, i'm afraid and it certainly won't be dealt with over night.
