I was told my GP was 95% certain I had Fibromyalgia almost two years ago. A consultant in pain management confirmed it this week.

Thanks AnkyieSpon, I am seriously considering having to reduce my hours at work as this worsens. I am really struggling (long hours). Trouble is, I cannot afford to reduce my hours and I'm not unwell enough for PIP.

@Nightfire are you on any sort of painkillers or other mess for the fibro?

Hi @Nightfire, and a warm welcome to the community! I wonder whether it's worth talking to your employer about reasonable adjustments?

@Nightfire who told you you are not sick enough? Have you had an assessment already? I'm having my assessment Monday, I work full time I don't look sick but I know how severe I am! If I can help in anyway...

Thanks! I did a self-assessment on the website. Four points was the highest I scored and I  needed eight minimum. I can still work and am capable of looking after myself so...I  am struggling with the long shifts though. Hope all goes well for you on Monday.

@Nightfire did you put everything online when you filled in the form? It took me weeks to do mine as things kept coming to mind...... Like anxiety, forgetfulness, having to depend on apps to remind me to take meds or ho places...... Make a note of every little thing and speak to your employer too. They might help. Feel free to stay in touch. Good luck
