Incapacity benefit

I started on disability benefits after having a severe motorcycle accident on 02:10:1981incuurring multiple injuries. I started claiming Incapacity benefit as it became a benefit. untill April 2012 when I was told that I had to receive ESA Support, getting no disability premiums. That I was claiming pre ESA(Incapacity benefit). I don't think that l should have had the Incapacity benefit. Neither should I. I don't think that I should have had the DLA taken off me. Making me claim for PIP. Dispickable13

Hi @Dispickable13, and a warm welcome to the community!
Thanks for sharing this with us. I'm afraid I'm unsure of the answer to this myself, however we have some brilliant members and advisors who will hopefully be in touch soon and able to help. I wonder if @poppy123456 or @Username_removed can advise? -

DWP are in the process of contacting all those that transferred from IB to ESA. Once you receive the letter with the form, you'll need to fill it in and return it. They will then assess you for any income related top up.
I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying. If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.
