Dont understand the benefits

Hi,
i have a chronic pain condition, due to several problems in my spine. I get PIP which I understand but what is the idependence payment I have read about and how do I see if I am eligible? I have never claimed any benefits until I became disabled and I am totally confused by the system, I thought PIP was the only disability claim.

PIP stands for Personal Independence Payment. You might also be eligible for other benefits as referred to in Pippa's link.0
