Both my daughter and I claim irESA. My daughter feels that she may be ready to start paid work? I claim HB and CTR. How will her potential income affect our financial situation regarding benefits?
Many thanks

Hi,If you don't claim PIP or DLA then you'll be affected by the non dependent deductions. How much it will be will depend on how much she earns. Details in the link.Has she thought about doing permitted work? She could try to do some work, providing it's less than 16 hours per week, earning no more than £125.50 per week and still keep all of her ESA. As long as the work she does doesn't contradict her reasons for the ESA claim, then it shouldn't go against her at the next assessment. Details for permitted work in the link. If she wants to try working then she must get permission before starting work.

No because that's her money and not yours.
