Will this evidence go against my PIP?

Sorry for asking so many questions but I am going mad her with worry.
The lady from the DWP filled in my PIP Review form and I signed it without reading it. I have depression and bi-polar. I very rarely go out because of it and when I do someone has to take me. I put this on my form as I need support to go out. , She took a letter as evidence from mental health services. It says that I employ a number of ways to control my condition and one of them was for friends to take me home in good time rather letting me stay out late. I become irrational and a danger to myself. Will this go against me? Is it contradictory or will they know what bi-polar is and this is how you behave? TIA

Hi @sheZZa It seems to me that the evidence in the letter supports that fact that you have difficulties coping outdoors and need help to manage this activity.  This seems to be consistent with your statement that someone has to take you when you go out.  Without seeing the letter and the PIP form it is difficult to say much more but my feeling is that both things are consistent and are not anything to worry about.  The letter also of course evidences that you are in contact with specialist (mental health) services which PIP often rely on as supportive of a significant health problem so this too should help your claim.  As an aside, you should make sure you know what is written on anything that you sign. The information given on your PIP form is just as important. If you are not able to read it or don't feel able to, ask the person writing for you to read it back to you so you can check.  Any professional completing a claim form for someone should have no problem at all ensuring the information is correctly recorded on the form so do not be concerned about asking.  Hopefully you will not have any problems, but if you do, there is advice and support out there for you.  All the best, Sarah

    Thank you so much.
i had already filled a form out which I thought was wrong. I had a breakdown and phoned DWP and they sent this lady round to help me. She looked at the form and said it was fine and she would copy it. I asked her a few times what she was writing and she said she was just copying what I’d written. Her 17yr old son phoned her three times while she was here. I also have trouble getting out of a seat and need help. When I needed to stand up she stood over me but offered no help as I struggled to get up using my stick as support. I’m sure she will put this against me and the fact that I could converse with her but sometimes I can’t no matter who it is. She never read anything back and I foolishly signed the form as requested. I feel so stupid and worried sick. I know I shouldn’t but I’ll can’t help it.
Thank you for your reply xx
