Hi all,
I have today received a letter from the counter fraud and compliance department of the DWP requesting I attend a meeting as it is believed there to be a change in circumstance.
This is the third letter of this nature I have received in under 18 months, with me being cleared of any ‘wrongdoing’ with the previous two investigations.
Fistly does anyone know if they can investigate you so frequently i.e every six months. Also my benefits have not been stopped which I understand happens if they have definitive evidence of fraud, so am I to assume this is just a general ‘check up’ to ensure I am receiving the correct benefits or that an unsubstantiated claim of fraud has been made?

Never heard of a claiment being investigated once let alone three times, maybe a friend, or someone who sees you about has reported you thinking you may be unlawfully claiming benefits and as reported you repeatedly. Maybe you are a single person and have been seen have a partner staying, living with you if only temporary and this has sparked the investigations.

Hi,It won't be just a check every 6 months. Someone may have reported you for something. Does the letter say "interview under caution"The only advice i can give is attend the interview and tell the truth. If you've done nothing wrong you have nothing to worry about,I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying. If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.
