Hi all,
So my first assessment Capita didn’t ask my Dr for any information.
The evidence and information I provided they said wouldn’t be taken into consideration.
However this time Capita have wrote to my Dr and asked for substantial amounts of information.
I’m hoping this is a good sign?
I hope every body has a great weekend.

Had a similar situation. I held evidence that was so clear that for the first two assessments and decisions (2013 & 2015) it caused the DWP to change the original decisions of 0 points to enhanced care & mobility. Following the third assessment and decision (2017) I used the same clear evidence to support my case but the DWP this time refused to change the decision at MR stage citing that the evidence I had sent in would not be used as it was now more than two years old - (evidence was dated 2011 & 2012).It was up to 4 years old in 2015 when they accepted it!

@Yadnad
That’s good that it worked out the first time for you.
I had a lot of evidence the first time but they stated this would not be taken into consideration.
I have even more evidence this time even copies of all my hospitalisation letters and discharges.
So my fingers and toes are fully crossed this time.
@Yadnad Did you have to go to a Tribuneral this time around if they didn’t except your evidence? -

However I did find a guy recently who would help me with the appeal which he sent in a few weeks ago - just within the 13 month deadline!
Still not entirely sure that I can cope with it all but hoping that he takes all of the stress and anxiety off my shoulders - should hope so he is possibly costing me enough.

@Yadnad
Was there no charity’s or benefits rights people to help you?
I’m in Birmingham and I found a place that’s been a great help called The Project.
But i’ve also been told that welfare rights can help but if your owed back pay they ask for a cut?
I hope it it all works out for you!!
I’m still waiting my Tribuneral hearing and totally dreading it.
I’m hoping if I send enough evidence in they see that I have a genuine need for the extra help.
My Tribuneral pack even acknowledged that my assessor lied about where the assessment was carried out.
So I hope that they see through all her lies.
