Hi everyone
My partner just had a carers assessment and was told he will recieve a cheque for £150 as his personal budget, to be used for train tickets so he can visit his friends as the majority of our spare money is spent on day to day travel for him as my carer. It's a one off payment and before we accept it I just need to know if it will affect housing benefit or ESA? I'm reluctant to call and ask ESA directly as the last time I asked a hypothetical question about college they suspended my benefit in error and I had to go through the rigmarole of someone listening to the call to prove I didn't report a change
Many thanks

I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying. If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.
