Hi everyone I have just passed my reassessment, but waiting for the letter from DWP. My claim of ESA was granted for 3 yr period which ends on the 10th October. I am aware that anyone with ESA SDP cant be transferred until the protection period ins instated.
Can anyone advise me if they know this is and will my housing benefit still be ok and council tax. ?

    Hi,

If you claim the SDP on top of your ESA then you can't claim UC, this means that you'll continue to claim housing benefit, at least until the transitional support protection is in place later this year

An ESA claim doesn't end, unless you're found fit for work. Or you cancel your claim.
I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying.
If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.

Thankyou. Poppy my guardian angel. That sets my mind at ease. Because I called them to them know that they needed to cancel my apt for  Monday for assessment as I needed a home visit they reviewed all evidence and decided it was all sufficient to back my claim. They called me Tuesday morning and advised they had done a paer based assessment and passed. I'm just waiting for confirmation letter from DWP. It was a big relief.
