Hi,Unfortunately, for ESA they can re-assess you anytime from 3 months. You need to make sure that form is returned no later than the date stated in the letter, as there's no extension for these forms.Expect another face to face assessment because most people have them. Good luck.I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying. If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.

The typical process is after an assessment a new referral (review) date is set by the decision maker who gave you the previous award, then unless you get deffered you will automatically be referred around 2-3 months before this date.
So they dont even wait until the date I expect because they ideally want to make the new decision as close as possible to the review date, not months after it.
I have noticed since the change to maximus shorter dates seem to have become more common, I am considering doing a FOI request to confirm if this is the case.
Claimants under the terms of ESA are required to inform the DWP if their condition improves, these really frequent reviews would indicate the DWP simply dont trust claimants to do this, and its clearly a big cause of distress for people, a waste of money and quite possibly regresses the mental state of many people as well, but sadly as poppy says they can do it any time after 3 months so if you want to keep your ESA you have to return the form.
