....hi to all
I see so many comments on here about the disgraceful way people are treated by d.w.p interviewers .....my wife who has n.e.s.s has been interviewed twice ,her illness means she has numerous blackouts with very little or no warning ,she often injures herself and ends up in a+e yet the interviewer said she could work as a security guard on the cctv cameras ......yea ok ....numpty ...my wife is an ex nurse and loved the job,she would return in a heartbeat if she was able ...these interviewers are totally uncaring and often not that qualified ....despite having a letter from the specialist stating that the wife has N.E.SS the interviewer continued-to ask the wife to do various exercises .....and then put that she refused .......she was unable to do these things ....she did not refuse.
This was an A.T.O.S assessor ,when we got the transcript it was something Enid blyton would of been proud of !
If they are going to do it be fair and honest ,ok rant over
love and hugs to all carers ....you do a great job and save the country millions of pounds .............ps.   I’m a carer too !
