Hi everyone
I'm new to Scope also to caring for someone disabled.
My husband has amongst other things SIAHD and neuropathy do I have to tell the dvla he cant drive anymore also he has to use a Zimmer frame to get around in the house and a wheelchair outside.
Pip assessor has decided that he can make a meal for one!
I do not know how he's expected to have two hands on his frame so he does not fall over and make a meal.
He got the upper on mobility is it worth me challenging this or should I just leave it.?
Someone told me if I challenge it he may get reduced on the mobility part ?
Also could someone please tell me what I have to do to register our car as disabled now?
Thank you
Mandy

Hi @Mandr52
Nobody can say what would happen on a mandatory reconsideration or an appeal as this is just a forum. If you challenge your points can be reduced as well as increased, there is just no way to know in advance.
In answer to your other question. Take a proof of entitlement letter from pip to your main Post Office and they will guide you through the road tax aspect.
If you wish to register for the Blue Badge Scheme, this has to be done through your local Council.Give them a call and they will tell you what you need to send.

Arr OK thank you .
But he does have delirium .
Mainly at night .
Some times it can start in the day, he goes absent.
So if he say put a can of soup on the cooker would forget about it maybe even fall asleep .
The physio tried this with him.
Her words to me keep him away from the kitchen.
He's not safe

At times its a mental restriction.
He disappears into his own world xx -
If they think an aid can reasonably be used you'll score points for using the aid.If assistance is needed then you have to tell them why this is needed and what happened that last time you attempted that activity with an aid.I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying. If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.
