My brother is currently on PIP and ESA and turns 65 in early March. Will either or both of these benefits end? Will he be eligible for the state pension and if so how much should he get? I'm concerned that he'll be worse off once he turns 65?

When he reaches state pension age his ESA will stop because ESA is a working age benefit. He should have applied for his state pension 4 months before reaching that age. See link for how to claim. https://www.ageuk.org.uk/information-advice/money-legal/pensions/state-pension/new-state-pension/He will need to look at his state pension forecast to know how much he'll receive. https://www.gov.uk/check-state-pensionPIP will continue as normal and he'll continue to be reviewed 1 year before the award is due to end. He'll continue to receive it for as long as he's eligible. If he still doesn't understand about the pension then i'd advise he gets face to face advice from a local advice centre near him.
I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying. If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help. -

Thank you so much for your reply very helpful. Unfortunately I can't work out his pension as he doesn't have an email address passport or p60 so stuck there unless you can suggest another solution?

It's very easy to get an email address for him and doesn't cost anything. Yahoo or hotmail are just 2 of the huge list. Other than that i have no idea i'm afraid.
