I have just had my pip assesment, and am waiting for a decision, don’t hold any hope with Atos the annoying thing is the dwp have not approached my doctor or consultants for medical evidence and the Atos nurse was not interested in my piles of medical evidence which I used to win my esa (support group 30 points from 0) and the mandatory is a farce from a faceless decision maker, look forward to court ,and beating these people who destroy people’s lives with unfairness,.also the Atos person asked if I have a criminal record what is that to do with my claim for pip.....thank god I had someone with me taking notes, also the room was furthest away fro reception. Told her. Am not rushing and kept stopping for breath....to her annoyance..so be interesting to see the report...will keep you up to date when I get the decision, won’t hold out much hope with ATOS

Hi @Jimmymac49 and welcomeDWP will seldom approach any GP or specialist, it is your responsibility to put your case and supply relevant evidence. PIP is about functionality, sending lots of medical evidence is rarely helpful, the assessor is not doubting that you have been diagnosed or have medical conditions but is there to assess your limited function in line with the PIP descriptors0

Good Evening it’s great to meet you today.
We have got some good info/advice on “pip”
There is a number of members who are/have been in similar situations.
I have just started my journey “Great”

I would like to wish everyone good luck, with there claims for pip...it’s not an easy benefit to get, what is going To make it harder was the news that the government are going to get another million disabled people back to work....they just don’t get it,,,also the assessor I saw just did not listen....believe it or not a midwife lol0
