Hello @JCFlipper6 Pleased to meet you welcome.
Thank you for joining and sharing.
I am one of the team of community champions who guide, advise and help new members who join the forum.
In response to your questions please have a look at our community guide and house rules.
Also this is what a forum is an open discussion where members of the community can talk to each other.
About the topics and themes that concern them. Anything and everything around disability or illness or conditions.
Also families and parents of children as well.
After 25 posts I believe you can talk privately in our messaging service.
I do this every day because I live on my own have many friends speak to privately. Also always on here helping and assisting and being supportive those in the community . Does help.
Have a look around the forum.
Please ask if you wish to know anything. This is UK based this forum but that does not matter have friends I speak to in USA.
Hope that helps.
Pleasure to meet you . Like your positivity.
Take care.

Type your commentHi Spiceman,
I live in Suffolk on my own with no family, a few friends but mainly not close some only in U.K. for limited time, lucky them!
Are you anywhere near me or other end of country? Haha
I help a few people who have a family member with Alzheimer’s & Dementia as I went through this with mummy all on my own so have lots of knowledge to draw from.
You are right it is good to help others, I believe in pay it forward.
This time of year when it’s cold I am often bed bound with no assistance have had to cope on my own for last 10 years, shall we say I have my own inimitable way of doing things.
God bless the person who invented grabbers and electric beds ??????
I am very much a night night owl as pain prevents me from sleeping other than in short bursts most of the time.
My back can go into seizure at anytime with no warning which limits what I do.
i get great pleasure from being outside in my garden when the weather is better, I crawl round on hands and knees but always have my mb in my pocket in case I need help however that is utter desperation level!
Currently waiting for a shower to be put in for me, I’ve been without one for 3years having to drive 25mins to a friends house to wash my hair!
I hope that gives you an idea of my circumstances.
I am still learning what help exists as it’s hard to find out.
Take care,
JC

Hello @JCFlipper6 Thank you for your reply.
Also sharing. I live in the cold windy North can not tell you where. Something we as a community are not allowed to share.
In a small isolated rural village .
Sorry to hear that you are struggling. How can the community help.?
There is help and support out there as well as the advice and information from SCOPE.
Please ask if we can as a community help and advise be happy to. No problems.
I know this is difficult some days for you we are always here anytime. If you need a friend or a chat.
Keep in touch.
Take care.
