I have been recently diagnosed with osteoarthritis of the lumbar spine. Have suffered with my back most of my life but put up with it. Do mostly manual work. I'm 54 and condition has got progressively worse. Long periods of sitting, driving, heavy lifting cause pain. Some burning discomfort. Doctors have not given me any long term advice, had physio but I still suffer. My current job as a delivery driver isn't ideal but I need the money. I'm single and live alone. Any advice if I can claim anything and work fewer hours.

Hi,I'd advise you to speak to a local advice centre near you. This way you'll be able to tell them all your circumstances and they'll be able to give you further advice.I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying. If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.
